Born in Monrovia, Liberia on March 24, 1983, Emmanuel Dlawloh Peters came to the United States in 1991 with his mother Annie, sister Angeline, and two older brothers, after a brutal civil war tore apart their homeland in 1990. In a successful effort to escape persecution by rebel factions, he and his family eventually joined their father Samuel, who was a ranking governmental official, in the Washington, DC metropolitan area where they since settled.
Acclaimed with a promising future that involved excellence and accolades in academics, athletics, and the arts, Emmanuel attended The School at Church Farm, where his skills were honed and where he took a keen participation in the latter of his interests. Along the way he was honored in the National Honor Society as a sophomore and was awarded The School at Church Farm's Art Award for overall excellence in art. After graduating from Montgomery Blair High School with a Presidential Scholarship, he attended the University of Dayton (OH), where he took up marketing in their School of Business. Unsatisfied with his chosen career path, he transferred to the Art Institute of Philadelphia to explore and focus on his creativity and natural love for art and design. He enrolled in the fashion design program, where he designed and produced fine tailored apparels for both men and women, but focused his creativity on well made menswear garments.
Inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci, the High Renaissance period, and convinced that the world of fashion was uniformed and personal creativity was stagnant, he created High Renaissance Fashion House, his flagship luxury line for men, women, and children that produce fine tailored, custom, well made apparels. Known as "The African Bernard Arnault" and believing that he was a modern day Renaissance man, he created his brand and parent company, High Renaissance Group, LLC in 2008. Inspiration. Unlimited. is the motto that serves his brand's ultimate goal and vision. He molded High Renaissance Group as being a luxury brand for "the people", which prides itself on innovation, practical and diligent aesthetics, accessibility, and affordability; a brand that never concedes to "no", can adapt to any situation or market segment, and a brand that relates to the "common man" with great taste. Living through his personal mantra Art + Love = LIFE, his brands under the umbrella of High Renaissance Group includes High Renaissance Fashion House, HR Dame, HRG Decor, HRG Entertainment, ClubScene, HRG Innovative, HRG Development, Globetrotter, and Millennium Midas Productions.
